MMCORC App Overview and Support

The MMCORC App makes it easy to access MMCORC services right from your phone! You can view active clinical trials, find partnered clinic locations, and explore resources for patients that are considering or already enrolled in a clinical trial.

The Trials screen provides access to an up-to-date database of MMCORC active clinical trials. On this screen, you will see a list of tumor types. This is used to organize the active studies. Select a tumor type to view active studies for that tumor. Note, the tumor types are sorted from most common to least common, so be sure to scroll all the way down if you do not see the tumor type you are looking for.

You can also search for active studies by tapping the search icon in the top right of the screen. The best search keywords are a bit more specific than the tumor type, such as “Prostate,” “Non-small Cell,” or “Leukemia.” The search function parses the study title and description to find matches for the keyword entered.

To use the trials screen, Wi-Fi or cellular data must be enabled on your device. Without one or both of these services enabled, the app cannot access the MMCORC database and provide you with up-to-date information. If you do not have Wi-Fi or cellular access, you will see an error screen.

The locations screen contains a map with the MMCORC locations marked on the screen. To view more information about a location, tap a location marker. Since some locations have different departments in the same building, some markers contain multiple “locations” on the same spot on the map. To sift through the various locations at the same spot, simply tap the marker to switch between the locations.

The locations screen requires a Wi-Fi or cellular connection. Without this connection the map cannot load and you will receive an error.

The resources screen contains a list of resources for patients considering or already enrolled in clinical trials. There is a dropdown menu that allows the user to filter resources. The dropdown options are as follows: All, Support, Societies and Alliances, Minnesota Based, Legal and Financial Support, Navigating Clinical Trials, and Tumor Specific. There is overlap between the categories but they make it easier to find what you are looking for.

The resources screen does not require a Wi-Fi or cellular connection to view the list of resources; however, to learn more about a resource, a Wi-Fi or cellular connection is required. For this reason it is recommended that a Wi-Fi or cellular connection is enabled before using this screen.
